This sketchbook does exactly what it says it will do - and it does it very well. I tested it thoroughly with alcohol markers (Ohuhu), fineliners, coloured pencils and gel pens. The paper is beautifully smooth, so markers go down evenly and blend really well. Blending is easy, colours stay vibrant, and the surface doesn't peel even when layering. It takes more working than you might expect for this weight of paper. There is a protective plastic sheet included to place behind your working page. In my tests, the alcohol markers did not bleed through to the next sheet - only to the back of the page I was working on (shown in my video). That's completely normal for marker paper. Fineliners glide smoothly without feathering. Pencil draws easily and erases cleanly. Gel pens sit nicely on top without skipping. Everything behaves as intended because the surface is so consistent and smooth. Another feature I appreciate is that the pages can be removed cleanly if you want to display or scan your work. The sketchbook also lies flat if you want to work across two pages. Overall, this is a very forgiving paper - especially good for anyone starting out with alcohol markers. Highly recommended.

Fijn papier om op te werken! Bloeding valt mee, drukt wel door maar is door het doordrukvel dat je er bij krijgt prima werkbaar. Goede kwaliteit voor een schappelijke prijs! Ik beveel het zeker aan.

super good sketchbooks! i love the feel of the paper and how thick these sketchbooks are. took the time to decorate mine with stickers🤗 the stickers do have some difficulty sticking to the cover, so depending on the type of stickers they might not stick all the way. also, if you’re using markers, they bleed through a good amount. i only use one side of paper anyways, so it isn’t a huge deal to me!

The cover and pages feel so nice and quality
They feel really nice! I haven't yet tried out my Ohuhu alcohol markers in them yet but the pages feel thick enough to be able to not bleed through like most other sketchbooks do.
I love both the size and the paper quality. I'll be getting another once this one is filled.
These marker pads are just FANTASTIC. It’s easy to say “oh that’s quite a lot for a marker pad” but seriously the amount of pages and the quality is so worth it. I’m sure I payed more for marker paper from another brand and it was a measly 20 pages which then meant I sat there afraid of drawing in case I’d “waste them”. These I draw in so much. 😅 I also love that you can easily rip the paper out if you don’t like it and the plastic sheet that each book comes with + the little string to mark which page you’re on is just top. Will definitely get more of these.

The sketch books are very lovely. Each page is thick enough to wear it barely bleeds through unless you stack layers then you’ll need the paper cover for the next page. The pages are smooth and are very nice for sketches. I absolutely love Ohuhu and will be coming back for more very soon!!!
Love the set of notebooks and the two different size option. It was a great price for the set and I like the hard cover and there is a pocket in the back. Perfect art journal.

As a heraldic artist, I'm familiar with gouache and other mediums. However, over the last decade I've began to sketch out my art using graphite pencils, colored pencils and alcohol markers. This is the first set of sketch books I've bought that were of different sizes and to be honest I enjoy them even more than I thought I would. I like the smooth surface of the pages, the layout and number of them, how easy they are to keep in place, or to remove. And I love the little ribbon to help enclose them. Overall I would recommend these books for illustrators or anyone who enjoys the medium of alcohol markers, which I've become an every greater fan of these past 10 years. Thank you Ohuhu for making them and making them available at a reasonable price.
I really love the quality of these marker sketchbooks. The way the markers and the paper act together is so satisfying. Everything from the binding that helps the thick pages lay flat pretty much by themselves to the placeholder ribbon and the outer strap to keep everything in shows just how well these books are thought out with quality to match!
Beautiful design, the marker just glides across the paper. The colours come to life. A pleasure to draw in.

The marker sketchbooks are spectacular, and markers are definitely not the only medium that looks wonderful on this paper. The sketchbooks have a heavy cover and the binding is sturdy and looks like it can handle some serious use. The paper feels almost silky, and makes creating a true joy. Cannot wait to put these new sketchbooks to work!
